(Abu Dhabi) – The total value of contracts signed by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters during the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016) has exceeded AED 1 billion.
The MoI and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters signed AED 652,385,430 worth of contracts on the final day of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016. The announcement was made by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016 at a press conference held at the conclusion of the 7th edition of ISNR.
He said that the MoI and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters signed a total of 41 contracts during the three-day event, amounting to AED 1,043,507,734, of which AED 652,385,430 worth of contracts were signed on the final day of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016.
He noted that on the final day the MoI signed three supply contracts worth AED 104,340,000, including a contract for supplying and delivering e-passports (ordinary and emergency) worth AED 46,340,000 with Emirates Computers. He continued that the value of the second contract with National Ambulance was AED 44 million, to deliver fully equipped ambulances and provide operating and management services for the northern emirates. He said that the third contract was signed with Saeed Salem Khalfan Commercial Agencies, with a value of AED 14 million, to supply and deliver mid-sized four-wheel fire trucks.
Major General Al Raisi said that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters signed 18 contracts with a total value of AED 548,045,430 at the conclusion of the event. These contracts included: five contracts with Emirates Fire and Rescue Company worth AED 262,771,848, to provide services and training to quick responding civil defence teams in Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates; four contracts with National Ambulance to provide paramedics and provide ambulance services to the Emergency and Public Safety Department with the value of AED 179,512, 822.
Three contracts with Caracal Light Ammunition to provide different types of ammunition worth AED 19 million; two contracts with Atlas Communications to renovate the wireless network (Tetra) and their accessories, and for an incident and crisis management system project worth AED 19,011,662; a contract with Emirates Solutions for Integrated Security (ESIS) to supply, install and develop the control system of the operations room worth AED 23,429,300.
A contract with Al Dhafra International Projects Group worth AED 19,008,000; a contract with Electronic Identity Management and Security Solution (EIMASS) to develop and expand the capacity of the iris recognition system worth AED 14,999,000; and a contract with Ethos Integrated Solutions to provide eight employees for the vocational development centre worth AED 10,312,798.
