Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival opens

(Sharjah) – H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended the opening ceremony of 14th Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival.
In the ceremony, he honoured Jordanian poet Rashid Eissa and Emirati poet Ahmed Mohammed Obaid who were named personalities of the festival for this year.
A number of government officials, poets, critics, men of letters and media and culture personalities attended the ceremony.
The Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival is being organised by Sharjah Department for Culture and Information.
