
As Nawaz Sharif emerged to be the Prime Minister of Pakistan for third time, world leaders poured their greetings. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for winning the general elections. Indian PM hoped that relationship between two countries would improve in tenure of Nawaz Premiership. Nawaz Sharif thanked Indian Premier for his good wishes added that he would try to resolve all disputes with Delhi on negotiation table.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai also telephoned Nawaz Sharif to congratulate him for massive victory in Saturday landmark polls. Karzai said that he was optimistic that ties between two brotherly countries would be friendly after Nawaz take charge of Premier office. Nawaz vowed that Pakistan would take every step to improve its relationship with all neighbors especially with Afghanistan.
President of United Arab Emirate, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ameers of Qatar and Kuwait have also congratulated Nawaz Sharif for his victory. Deputy Prime Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Maqran Bin Abdul Aziz also called Nawaz Sharif to greet him good wishes.
Iranian President Mehmood Ahmadinejad, Turkish President Abdulallah Gul and Prime Minister Tayyeb Ardugan also conveyed his greetings to Nawaz Sharif.
