(Switzerland) – The UAE has won the bid to host the Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Ramsar Convention in 2018. The UAE’s winning bid was presented during Ramsar’s 48th Meeting of the Standing Committee (SC48) which was concluded on 30 January in Gland, Switzerland.
At the meeting in Switzerland, the UAE’s delegation to the meeting, led by Director-General of Fujairah Municipality, Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, officially presented the UAE’s detailed bid to host the 2018 conference.
