
UAE and Algeria signed an agreement defining security cooperation on combating all types of crimes, exchange of information and expertise on human trafficking, narcotics and illegal trade in arms and ammunition in particular. The agreement was signed by H.H Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Dahou Ould Kablia, Algerian Minister of Interior ‘&’ Local Governments at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
It also defined the forms and mechanisms of coordination between the two parties including the setting up of a joint commission to implement the agreement. Earlier, Sheikh Saif and the Algerian minister met to discuss matters of mutual interest and ways to promote relations between the two sisterly countries.
