Sheikh Nahyan opens 1st Neuroscience Conference

(Abu Dhabi) – Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, opened the first day of three-day long Neuroscience Conference, organised by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA,” at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
In his inaugural speech, he commended SEHA and the Pan Arab Neurosurgical Society for choosing the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, as the site of SEHA’s first gathering of professionals working in the field of neuroscience. Sheikh Nahyan praised the experienced medical scholars who are presenting their views and sharing their knowledge.
The minister noted that President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahayan, has created one of the fastest growing healthcare systems in the world. He also referred to the follow up of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to further develop the healthcare system nationwide.
Stressing the vital role of professionals working in the field of neuroscience, Sheikh Nahyan said, “We depend on your study of the nervous system, on your ability to diagnose our problems, and on your skill to make informed interventions.”
Sheikh Nahyan said in his speech: “Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen: I am delighted that SEHA and the Pan Arab Neurosurgical Society have chosen Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, as the site of SEHA’s first gathering of professionals working in the field of neuroscience. Abu Dhabi is the nerve center of our nation and should consequently be the perfect setting for the sixty-two updates and upgrades that will inform your three days of educational endeavor.
