(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received students of the UAE Youth Ambassadors Program at Al Bateen Palace. The students have just returned from a trip to South Korea under the above program, which took place between 28 June 2012 – 21 July 2012, and was sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court.
The program included 20 UAE students from all seven emirates and aimed to equip, develop and prepare them to take on prominent future roles in core sectors, lead key partnerships and strengthen engagement between the UAE and South Korea, as part of the growing, strategic partnership between the two countries.
His Highness talked with the students and checked on how well they benefited from the trip and the experience they gained. The students said that the most important lesson they learned was how to develop a strong work ethic, and how hard work, ambition and creativity can lead to great results. They also said that their collaboration helped them develop their teamwork skills, and that witnessing first-hand the strategic development within different sectors will no doubt contribute towards enhancing their future skills in their respective fields. In addition, they said that being in a new country and immersed in a different culture provided them with an insightful view into the elements that make up that culture.
His Highness also invited them to persevere, pursue their studies and make use of what other advanced nations have achieved, stressing that the UAE is looking forward to seeing its knowledge-equipped people take part in the march of advancement and progress that the country is pursuing on all levels.
