
(Abu Dhabi) – UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met the Mayor of London Boris Johnson, who’s visiting the UAE in a Gulf tour. The meeting was held at Zabeel Palace in attendance of H. H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai. Among the issues discussed were ways to strengthen the relations between Dubai and London, especially in the sectors of tourism and Islamic Banking. Johnson commended the Dubai for establishing the cornerstone of Stock markets and Islamic banking, which set striking examples for many countries wishing to follow suit. He expressed his admiration about the Dubai’s unique cultural diversity that characterizes the UAE’s community.
Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, Dominic Jermey, British Ambassador to United Arab Emirates, along with a number of dignitaries attended the meeting.
