Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Meets King of Jordan

(Amman) – His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces met King Abdullah II of Jordan in Amman. Gen Sheikh Mohamed conveyed greetings of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to King Abdullah II and his wishes of further progress and prosperity for the people of Jordan.
The meeting also discussed the brotherly ties and prospects of joint cooperation as well as ways of boosting them. They discussed the latest situation on the Syrian arena and ways of achieving peace in the Middle East, based on the two-states solution. King of Jordan expressed his appreciation for the strong and historic relations between the two countries, hailing the UAE’s stances under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in support of Jordan in all circumstances, particularly pertaining the burdens borne due to the increasing number of the Syrian refugees.
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his appreciation for the efforts of King Abdullah II in maintaining security and stability in the region, stressing the strong UAE-Jordan bonds and the keenness to enhancing them for the interest of the two sisterly countries.
In attendance at the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of UAE; H.E. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince’s Court, H.E. Mohammad Mubarak Al Mazroui from the UAE side and Dr. Fayez Tarawneh, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Nasser Judeh from the Jordanian side.
attended the meeting.
