His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai is in thirteenth place on the list of the 15 most renowned political figures on social networking site ‘Twitter’.
Sheikh Mohammed has 1.88 million followers on his personal page on the site. US President Barak Obama topped the list with 33.6 million followers. Also on the list are: UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Jordan’s Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Japan’s Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, Chile’s President Sebastian Piñera, Canadaian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Norway’s Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, New Zealand’s Prime Minister John Key, Denmark Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Philippines President Gloria Arroyo and Latvia Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis.
