
(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received French Defence Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, at Al Shati Palace, where they explored ways of enhancing bilateral ties to serve the best interest of the two friendly countries and their people.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed means of bolstering joint co-operation in defence and military fields in a manner that realises mutual interests. Sheikh Mohamed and minister Le Drian exchanged views on a host of topics of common concern as well as current events and unfolding developments in the region. Efforts being made by the UAE and France to achieve security, peace and stability were also tackled during the talks.
The meeting was attended by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Major General Eisa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Bawardi Al Falasi, Adviser to Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alaw, Commander of Air Force and Air Defence.
