
(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received at Al Bahr Palace a Pakistani delegation led by Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister and delegate of Pakistani Prime Minister.
Sheikh Mohamed reviewed with the visiting Pakistani delegation bilateral ties and means of bolstering them within the context of distinguished bilateral friendship and mutual interests. The two parties also discussed avenues of existing joint cooperation in order to realise aspirations of the two friendly countries and people towards broader horizons of development in various fields that serve interest of the two countries.
Sheikh Mohamed asserted that the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directives to support Pakistan in humanitarian, relief and development fields come within the framework of the special ties of friendship and cooperation that bond the two countries and out of UAE’s belief in the importance of solidarity with friendly countries and assisting them to address developmental challenges they are facing.
The Pakistani delegation expressed appreciation to the UAE for its humanitarian stances towards the Pakistani people, notably the UAE Project to Assist Pakistan and other health, educational and infrastructure initiatives that aim to alleviate suffering of natural disaster-affected people.
