(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, opened the 1st Edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) 2015 which is running parallel with IDEX 2015, the world’s leading joint defence exhibition.
Present at the opening were Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Badr bin Saoud Hareb Al bu Saidi, Omani Minister in charge of defence Affairs, Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Major General Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alawi, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, Mohammed bin Abdullah al Qutbi, Ambassador Oman and a number of senior officials.
Sheikh Mansour praised the role played by IDEX exhibition in strengthening peace and security in the region and underlined the latest defence technology displayed by 1,200 defence manufacturing companies taking part in the exhibition.
