
(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of UAE, received Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and members of the delegation accompanying him during a visit to the UAE.
The visit is part of close fraternal cooperation between the two brotherly countries and their peoples.
Welcoming the Egyptian minister and delegation, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah extended congratulations on the occasion of the anniversary of Egypt’s 23rd July 1952 Revolution.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral political, economic and development relations and ways to promote and expand these relations to wider avenues of strategic cooperation and coordination to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples, particularly in the light of the regional circumstances requiring joint efforts and an effective pan-Arab strategy that can counter various challenges, in particular those relating to fighting terrorism and extremist ideology.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s political and economic backing for Egypt and the right of its people to development, growth and stability.
