(Riga) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister met with Laimdota Straujuma, Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, in the capital, Riga. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, to the Prime Minister of Latvia, who in turn conveyed her greetings.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the overall relations of cooperation between the U.A.E. and Latvia and ways of developing them to include many fields with the aim of opening new horizons of joint action, as well as the possibility of creating partnership opportunities between the two countries in different sectors.
Laimdota Straujuma welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and hoped that the visit will contribute in bolstering ties between the two countries, particularly investment in education, tourism, health services, and SMEs for the benefit and welfare of the peoples of both countries.
