
(Calgary) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, U.A.E. Foreign Minister, and John Baird, the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, have discussed bilateral relations between the U.A.E. and Canada and ways to boost them to serve the common interests of both countries. This came during a session of talks held between Sheikh Abdullah with his Canadian counterpart in the city of Calgary within the framework of his current official visit to Canada.
During the meeting, both parties discussed areas of cooperation between the U.A.E. and Canada, especially trade, investment, the economy, health, education and infrastructure fields, as well as agriculture, food security and renewable and alternative energy, where the U.A.E. has extensive experience in the field through Masdar City.
They also reviewed opportunities to increase trade and strengthen cooperation in the field of investment at all levels through coordination between the two countries and introduce investment opportunities in various vital sectors in the two countries.
