Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Hazem El Beblawi and UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks in Cairo. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
In his remarks during the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah underscored the prominent stature of Egypt as an Arab country saying “the stability of Egypt means stability for all Arabs.” Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also reaffirmed the UAE’s keen interest in providing full support to Egypt at the current time, not only through providing aid packages and loans to support Egypt’s currency reserves, but also through medium and long-term development programmes aimed at developing a number of its national economic sectors.
On his part, Dr El Beblawi praised the UAE for its stance for the June 30 revolution, for its support from the very beginning to the aspirations and for security, stability and progress, as well as for its initiative to provide aid and help in a record time in order to enable the Egyptian interim government to implement the roadmap, and to find an exit from the economic crises Egypt is currently going through.
