Saudi Arabia ratifies Paris Agreement on Climate Change

(New York) – On behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mualami has signed the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, in the presence of the Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki Moon.
In a press statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Mualami underscored the significance of the great attention displayed by the Saudi leadership and government on operation to fight the climate change and its causes to reduce heat emissions that inflict widespread damages on the Earth, with emphasis on the need to provide reasons to ensure provision of safe and clean energy sources, and reduce global warming.
