(Abu Dhabi) – A regional anti-terrorism conference has been commenced in Abu Dhabi with participation of 25 Arab and non-Arab countries. The conference is organised by UAE Interior Ministry under the title ‘ Anti-Terrorism Project in the MENA Region’. Four international organisations including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) are participating in the conference.
Opening the conference, Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lt.General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar pointed out that the participation of so many countries in this unique meeting indicates the importance they attach to the efforts to encounter terrorism, which pose a threat to the security and stability of world countries.
