(Manama) – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Javed Malik said that Pakistan would continue its cooperation for peace and stability in the region.

Talking to media persons during the Manama Dialogue held in Bahrain, he said that a durable peace in South Asia was not possible without resolving the Kashmir issue.

Talking about the measures taken by the country against terrorism, Javaid Malik said that the Pakistan Army had rendered countless sacrifices in the war and destroyed the network of terrorists in the country. The operation Zarb-e-Azb had achieved the desired results as terrorists’ backs had been broken, he added.

In response to a question, he said that Pakistan believed in maintaining good relationships with neighbouring countries, including Afghanistan and India.

Civil and military officials from 20 countries participated in the Manama Dialogue, according to a message received from Bahrain.
