(Dubai) – The 17th edition of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) has began aimed at further enhancing the emirate’s position as a year-round family tourism destination. The month-long celebration is expected to draw visitors from abroad and drive tourism within.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), DSS 2014 which will be on until September 5, will be offering a multitude of reasons why one should visit or stay in Dubai during the summer. With an exciting calendar of unique attractions, DFRE will be rolling out “The Fun Side of Summer”.
DSS 2014 brings a superb line-up of events led by the World Premieres of the Angry Birds Universe Interactive Experience at Modesh World; The Decepticon Clone Transformers Show at BurJuman and the Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure at City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira. A range of engaging family-oriented experiences and activities are ready to be unveiled.
An amazing shopping experience will enliven the atmosphere even more, creating a rush of excitement among shoppers who look forward to giving their wardrobes, home décor and offices a refreshing facelift. Throughout the summer festival, shoppers visiting numerous malls and souqs across Dubai can take advantage of special offers and discounts of up to 70 per cent on a wide range of merchandise including designer apparel, homeware, electronic goods, fashion, jewellery, accessories and much more, while getting the opportunity to win great prizes.
