(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received at Al Shati Palace the visiting Congress delegation headed by Robert W. Goodlatte, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
H.H. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the delegation, while underlining the importance of such visits in exchanging ideas and views on regional issues of mutual interest.
The meeting also addressed ways of enhancing bilateral partnerships in various fields, with the two sides reviewing the efforts made to achieve stability and peace in the Middle East.
Sheikh Mohamed noted that direct communications between the two countries help identify and recognise the cultural developments in the UAE as well as the transition witnessed in the country’s parliamentary, political, economic and social systems.
He spoke about the country’s vision, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and UAE keenness to support all efforts aimed at ensuring permanent security and stability in the region and the whole world.
The congress delegation expressed happiness at visiting the UAE and contributing to developing all means of cooperation between the two countries. They affirmed the US keenness on extending bridges of friendship and cooperation with the UAE and continuing to exchange visits and views on regional and global issues.
The meeting was attended by Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, the Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.
