(Brussels) – The European Union said the elections to the National Assembly of Kuwait saw a broad participation of political groups, reflecting the full spectrum of Kuwaiti society.
“Credible and inclusive elections represent one important element of the political life in Kuwait and we recall the unique character of the parliamentary system in Kuwait in the regional context,” Spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini told the Kuwait news agency (KUNA).
“We reiterate the need for all political actors to participate constructively in the post-election process and to contribute to the further progress of Kuwaiti society,” the EU spokesperson added.
