HM King receives BACA President

(Manama) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa who briefed him on the cultural momentum in Bahrain, particularly in 2017.

BACA will shed light on the importance and history of Bahrain’s monuments in a function themed “If Our Monuments Could Speak” which kicked off with the inauguration of Al-Khamis Mosque Visitors Centre.

Shaikha Mai presented HM the King with a book detailing BACA’s future strategy to promote Bahrain’s achievements and activities. She also presented HM the King with publications of Shaikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this week.

HM King Hamad lauded the efforts made by BACA to enrich the cultural and literary movement in Bahrain and keep record of it through various functions and programmes.
