Healthcare programmes development highlighted

(Manama) – Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh has received Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Minister and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, and candidate for the post of Director General of the World Health Organization.

Dr. Mohammed Ameen Al-Awadhi the Health Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Training was also present during the meeting.

They discussed various global health issues and means to develop healthcare programmes to achieve goals aspired by countries around the world in the health field.

Dr. Ghebreyesus expressed his delight to visit Bahrain which he considers an opportunity to view the kingdom’s accomplishments in the field of health in view of Bahrain being considered one of the most successful countries in the whole world in this field.
