
(Compiegne) – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has witnessed UAE riders winning the 120 KM CEI** Festival Mondial d’Endurance sponsored by the H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival in Compiegne, France.
121 riders from 30 countries participated in the race, including riders from UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, France, Germany, Spain and Belgium.
Completing a one-two triumph for the UAE rider Abdullah Ghanim Al Marri on ‘Quran El Ulm’ won the 120km-CEI-O Two Star ride recording 5:06:05 followed by Shaikh Abdullah bin Faisal Al Qasimi on ‘Laiza De Jalima’ recording 5:08:22.
The race was attended by Chairman of Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Director General of Dubai Ruler’s Court Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Director General of Dubai’s Protocol Department Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Chairman and CEO of Meydan Group and President of Dubai Equestrian Club Saeed Al Tayer and number of senior officials and endurance race fans.
