The German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle hosted its first-ever Iftar dinner greeting ambassadors from Muslim countries and top representatives of the countryˈs 4.5 million-strong Muslim community. Welcoming his guest of honor, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the guesthouse of the foreign ministry, Westerwelle wished German Muslims and Muslims around the world a blessed Ramadan.
Earlier Foreign Ministers of Germany and United Arab Emirates (UAE) held talks over existing bilateral relations, progress in joint cooperation in many fields and appropriate means of strengthening the relations. They also discussed avenues of cooperation and friendship between both nations and ways of further enhancing them.
