(New York) – Undersecretary for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, met with the UN Secretary-General Adviser for Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and Climate Change, David Nabarro.
The Undersecretary reviewed Bahrain’s efforts in conformity with the leadership’s directives on promoting sustainable development in line with the Government’s Action Plan 2015-2018 as well as Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, to achieve the aspired progress.
He also highlighted a number of projects Bahrain intends to implement in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program in the Kingdom of Bahrain within the same framework.
Nabarro praised Bahrain’s active participation in the consultative process preceded the ratification of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
He welcomed Bahrain’s projects aimed at supporting the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals 2030, making Bahrain a pioneering country with a unique experience to be emulated at the regional and international levels.
