(Abu Dhabi) – The Emirates Red Crescent has won two ISO 9001:2008 and two ISO 14001:2004 certificates from UK-based Worldwide Quality Assurance recognising the quality of the agency’s services at the Emirati Jordanian Field Hospital in Jordan’s Mafraq Governorate and the Emirati Jordanian Refugee Camp (Mrajeeb Al Fhood camp) east of Zarqa, Jordan. The hospital and the camp are both managed by the UAE agency.
Recently, the ERC received ISO 9001-2008 in the scope of management and administration of local human aid, volunteer, fundraising, marketing, and the departments of public relations, media and call centre.
The ERC has become the first humanitarian agency in the world to obtain the five ISO certificates.
The scopes of the latest four ISO certificates are provision for health care services, including medical emergencies, outpatient and inpatient care and diagnostic services for the local and refugees communities, and provision of comprehensive humanitarian assistance services to refugees.
