Deputy Premier receives RCSI delegation

(Manama) – Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace, in the presence of Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh, a delegation from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) led by the college President Prof. John Hyland and RCSI-Bahrain President Prof. Samir Al Atoum.

The delegation briefed the Deputy Premier on the activities of RCSI-Bahrain, notably the graduation ceremony of the 7th batch of the Nursing and Higher Studies Colleges which was held today.

The Deputy Prime Minister lauded contribution of RCSI-Bahrain since its establishment a decade ago and its role in conducting scientific researches aimed at boosting people’s health and in providing highly qualified medical staff from Bahrain and the GCC countries.

The delegation thanked the Deputy Premier for the meeting, lauding the leadership’s support to the college and stressing the college’s unwavering approach of upgrading medical education by pumping highly qualified graduates into the health sector.
