Children’s Reading Corner concludes

(Manama) – The Children’s Library in Isa Cultural Centre (ICC) has concluded its participation in Nakhool Tent, where 500 children partook in more than 40 cultural activities presented by the Library.

The one-week-long activities of the Children’s Corner was part of Bahrain Summer Festival organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).

Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, ICC’s Board of Trustees Chairman, said the Children’s Library seeks to initiate a promising generation of children in possession of important cognizance skills to build their intellectual personality. The event has attracted a large audience of children to brush up their creativity and skills in addition to workshops based on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s cultural heritage and history. Dr. Shaikh Khalid praised the efforts of the Library officials as part of the Centre’s participation in Nakhool Tent.

The Children’s Corner included many books in Arabic, English and French, including some by Bahraini authors, all of which written for various age groups, especially children.

The Library’s Reading Section also presented a technical embroidery workshop on traditional Bahraini costumes.
