(Manama) – Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities(BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa received Housing Minister Bassim bin Yacoub Al-Hamer and discussed cooperation to develop the Kingdom’s cultural infrastructure.
The two sides reviewed future projects, focusing particularly on the Pearl Trail, which was included since 2012 in the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites. BACA President thanked the minister for the cooperation which reflect shared vision to develop Bahrain’s infrastructure, particularly Muharraq, Capital of Islamic Culture 2018. Al-Hamer commended BACA-led efforts to preserve Bahrain’s heritage, stressing the vital importance of cooperation between official establishments to enrich cultural life.
