(London) – Bahraini athlete Rose Chelimo has clinched the gold medal after winning the women’s marathon at the World Athletics Championship, being held in London until August 13.
The gold medalist Chelimo won the race, clocking 2 hours, 27 minutes and 11 seconds. Kenyan Edna Kiplagat and American athlete Amy Cragg finished second and third, clocking respectively 2:27:18 and 2:27:18.
