(Manama) – Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan received Dr. Amable Aguiluz, Philippines President’s Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-Member States who is currently visiting Bahrain.
They discussed means of boosting the bilateral ties, especially in the fields of labour and development.
They also discussed the challenges facing the labour market in both countries and bolstering the cooperation in these fields to achieve the shared interest of both countries.
Minister Humaidan praised the historic bilateral ties, affirming Bahrain’s keenness on expanding the vistas of cooperation with the Philippines Republic in all fields, especially in the field of labour. He also praised the Filipino community members working in Bahrain for their role in the Kingdom’s renaissance.
Dr. Aguiluz lauded the bilateral ties between his country and Bahrain, expressing his country’s government appreciation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s provision of protection and welfare to all expatriate communities particularly the Filipino community, affirming his government’s desire to advance the existing relations with Bahrain to vaster horizons in the interest of the two countries’ governments and peoples.
