1,407 individuals benefit from parliamentary training

(Manama) – A total of 1407 participants have benefited from the training sessions, events and programmes held by the Bahrain Centre for Parliamentary Training at the Secretariat-General of the Council of Representatives in 2016 and 2017.
Statistics show that 597 persons benefited from the centre’s services in 2016, and 810 during the first half of 2017.
The centre’s activities are within the framework of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to promote the parliamentary culture, highlight the achievements of the kingdom under the royal Reform Projects, including its progress and success in consolidating the pillars of a modern democratic state in Bahrain.
The centre’s goals are to develop the parliamentary culture, improve the quality of the reports, research and specialised studies provided by the Secretariat-General to MPs and all sides seeking specialised parliamentary information and data.
It also aims to develop the skills of MPs, the Secretariat-General’s affiliates and all segments of the Bahraini society, and to train them according to the latest international standards.
