(Manama) – One policeman died and eight others sustained serious and medium injuries when a police bus was targeted in a terror crime at 5:26 PM on Friday while driving on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman highway towards Manama near Jidhafs, the Ministry of Interior said. The wounded policemen were referred to hospital for treatment.
The ministry highlighted that a group of terrorists targeted the bus with a remotely detained homemade bomb.
After the case was reported, concerned authorities moved to the crime scene and an investigation was launched in the terror crime to arrest those behind it, in order to bring them to justice. Legal proceedings have commenced and the Public Prosecution was notified.
