(Abu Dhabi) – The 6th edition of the Al Dhafra Festival has got underway in Madinat Zayed in the Abu Dhabi’s Western Region under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Chairman of the higher organizing committee of the festival and Cultural Adviser at the Crown Prince’s Court Mohammad Khalaf Al Mazroui said that the Festival aims to preserve the cultural heritage of the UAE. Al Dhafra Festival will include a number of heritage events and competitions, notably falcon hunting, heritage camel racing, camel auctions, a camel milking competition, handicraft competitions and a dates packaging competition.
