Al Jalila Foundation, established in 2013 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, marked its 10th anniversary as a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing healthcare, medical innovation, and transforming lives for the greater benefit of humanity.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, a celebratory event was held, attended by prominent figures such as Dr. Raja Easa Saleh Al Gurg, Chairperson of Al Jalila Foundation Board of Directors, and Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU).
The Foundation highlighted its achievements over the past decade, expressing gratitude to major donors who have consistently supported its healthcare initiatives. Notable partners recognized included Abdul Wahid Al Rostamani Group, Amity University, Dr. Wael Al Mahmeed, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation, Abdul Rahim Mohammed Belghozooz Al Zarooni, AbdulGhaffar Hussain, Hussain Khansaheb, and Mirwais Azizi.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum commended the enduring charitable efforts in the UAE and emphasized the Foundation’s significant contributions to healthcare advancement, expressing gratitude for the continued commitment of donors. He reiterated the UAE’s dedication to philanthropy within the health sector.
Al Jalila Foundation, dedicated to global health promotion through charitable initiatives, has positively impacted numerous lives, assisting 8,768 patients, including 30% children facing life-threatening conditions. The Foundation has also supported research by awarding 125 research grants and investing nearly AED 50 million in research infrastructure and knowledge creation. Moreover, it has provided 146 scholarships to medical students and residents, contributing to the development of future healthcare leaders.
Dr. Raja Al Gurg acknowledged the Foundation’s transformative impact and recognized the dedication and generosity of donors and supporters. She emphasized the collective commitment to advancing healthcare, shaping a sustainable and brighter future.
