The Ministry of Economy has rolled out the Unified Family Business Registry, unveiling four ministerial resolutions geared towards strengthening the governance of family enterprises and improving the legislative landscape for heightened competitiveness within the nation. This strategic move is geared towards ensuring the longevity and progression of family businesses, aligning with a vision that solidifies the UAE’s standing as a prime hub for local, regional, and global family enterprises.
H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, underscored the pivotal role played by Emirati family businesses in driving the growth of the national economy. He emphasized their contribution to sustaining and bolstering the country’s transition towards a new economic era.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to ongoing development initiatives and the formulation of sustainable policies to foster the family business sector’s growth, H.E. Abdulla Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, emphasized that the newly introduced resolutions are designed to reinforce the UAE’s position as a leading destination for these enterprises.
