Dubai International Chamber, a subsidiary of Dubai Chambers, recently led a successful trade mission to Anuga 2023, the world’s largest food and beverages trade fair. During the event, they orchestrated over 350 B2B meetings with representatives from 13 Dubai-based companies. Anuga 2023, themed ‘Sustainable Growth,’ was held in Cologne, Germany, from October 7th to 11th, attracting 140,000 trade visitors from 200 countries and 7,900 exhibitors from 118 countries.
This mission was part of the ‘New Horizons’ initiative by Dubai International Chamber, which focuses on promoting Dubai-based businesses’ international expansion in key markets and positioning the emirate as a global business and trade hub. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the significance of helping Dubai businesses gain global exposure, fostering trade relations, and exploring industry trends, including sustainability and technological innovations.
The thriving F&B sector in Dubai, with substantial growth potential, was a key focus. Dubai Chambers is dedicated to assisting members in expanding globally, offering strategic guidance and insights. The New Horizons program encourages participation in international roadshows and trade fairs to explore new territories and prioritize markets. This aligns with Dubai’s goal of increasing non-oil foreign trade to AED 2 trillion by 2026, and Dubai Chambers aims to support 100 local businesses in their global expansion endeavors by 2024.
