Resolution of Part Time Jobs in Dubai Govt Approved

(Dubai) – Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has issued Resolution No. (27) of 2013 regulating part-time jobs at the Government of Dubai. The resolution complements regulatory laws and legislations of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department.
The resolution aims at attracting highly qualified and distinguished experts to work in the government sectors, in addition to finding replacement employees to work for hours less than the official working hours; a work-life balance that would enable employees to divide their energy between their work and private life.
The provisions of the resolution further identify the scope and objectives required from adopting a part-time policy at a government department. It also determines the working hours, salaries and the mechanism to calculating the wages of employees taking up part-time jobs.
