(New York) – Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) has concluded its successful participation at Book Expo America, the leading book industry event in North America, which took place from the 30th of May to the 1st of June in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Centre.
The SIBF delegation, headed by Ahmed Al Ameri, SIBF Director, and including Salim Omar Salim, Head of Sales ‘&’ Marketing at SIBF, made use of the opportunity to invite publishers and other book industry professionals to participate in the upcoming 32nd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which will be taking place from the 6th to the 16th of November this year at the Sharjah Expo Centre.
The SIBF Director delivered a presentation outlining the SIBF’s offering, programme, and statistics and special focus was given to inviting publishers to attend the SIBF Professional Programme, which will be held in the three days running up to the Fair. It will feature a series of discussion sessions, lectures, workshops, and symposiums, among other activities related to the publishing and book industry.
The annual Sharjah International Book Fair was established in 1982 and is one of the four largest international book fairs in the world. It is open to the public and professionals. Its 2012 edition saw the attendance of more than 942 exhibitors and 600,000 visitors.
