(Manama) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that terrorism, which is targeting many regions in the world, can only be confronted through cooperation and coordination, and eliminated by firmness.

Terrorism poses a threat to development which can be achieved only within a secure and stable atmosphere, HRH Premier said, stressing that the government is resolved to combat terrorism and those holding its ideology in thought and deeds.

“The government, despite its preoccupation with the nation-building and development, is always vigilant and resolved to maintain security and stability. Let it be known to everyone that the hand that tries to tamper with security will be faced by the force of the law,” he said, praising the Bahraini society’s cohesion and categorical rejection of attempts to subvert security.

The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving Royal Family members and senior state officials, with whom he reviewed topics relating to national affairs and services.

HRH Premier underlined the government’s development plans aimed at achieving the requirements of decent living for the citizens within secure and stable conditions.

The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s keenness on ensuring that development projects are finalised according to schedule.

Any delay in development projects is not acceptable, he said, stressing that the government’s utmost goal is to speed up the implementation of projects and deliver the best services for the citizens.

He affirmed that the government had adopted many initiatives to support various projects and remove any obstacles facing their completion on time.
