(Manama) – Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, the Fifth Edition of Khalid bin Hamad League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls kicked off under the theme #Generations_Meeting at Khalifa Sports City Hall and will continue until September 14.

HH Shaikh Khalid expressed his pleasure to the wide welcoming received by the tournament from youth centres and clubs that are not under the umbrella of Bahrain Football Association (BFA), as well as teams and establishments that are concerned with people with disabilities and girls’ teams.

His Highness valued their concern to be present at this sports meeting, which aims at supporting Bahraini youth, highlight their skills and would reflect positively on the local football talents.

HH Shaikh Khalid stressed that one of the aims behind organising the tournament is to strengthen national unity and granting the youth the opportunity to meet and exchange expertise.

His Highness praised the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, spearheaded by Minister Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder and his efforts to support initiatives aimed at enabling the youth and invest in their talents and energies.

Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) offered its bronze sponsorship of Khalid bin Hamad Initiatives that are represented with Khalid bin Hamad League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls, which comes within the sports and humanitarian initiatives of His Highness.

Alba explained that the sponsorship comes within its responsibilities to achieve community partnership by supporting youth, sports, cultural and social programmes in Bahrain.
