(Manama) – Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, received the 2015 – 2016 annual reports of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) presented by President Dr. Abdulaziz Abul and the associating delegation.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised the NIHR efforts in preparing the reports, noting Bahrain’s achievements in the human rights fields, and the royal reforms that established the same.

He pointed out Bahrain’s keenness to continue promoting human rights, stressing the significance of maintaining security, and stability and the respect for the rule of law in achieving the human rights principles in societies.

He highlighted the noble qualities characterize the Bahraini society, including tolerance, respect for others and pluralism, which are a source of its strength and cohesion.

NIHR’s President gave a brief on the main NIHR’s accomplishments, and the content of the two reports that have actively contributed to bolstering the NIHR’s efforts.
