(Manama) – HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the presence of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, received at Sakhir Palace senior Bahraini officials who extended Ramadan greetings and wishes.
HM the King received Representatives Speaker, Shura Chairman, Supreme Judicial Council President, National Audit Court President, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman, governors, municipality councils chairmen and heads of labour unions.
They congratulated HM the King and wished him abundant good health and happiness to continue leading Bahrain’s development and reform progress.
HM the King exchanged good wishes with the guests and thanked them for their visit, saying it reflected the significance of direct contacts and communication throughout the auspicious month of Ramadan.
King Hamad said that the residents of Bahrain were particularly keen on such contacts with Bahrainis and visited their Ramadan majlises.
“We all live in a country where the bonds of cordiality, compassion and togetherness are strong,” he said, praying to God Almighty to bestow further blessings and goodness on Bahrain and pride and peace on the Arab and Islamic nations.
HM the King said that the holy month of Ramadan was the month of worship, compassion and solidarity among all people, praying to God Almighty to be a month of goodness and blessing to the people of Bahrain, a light that beams more closeness in all souls, and a consolidation of the values and principles of fraternity, solidarity, cohesion and communication enjoyed by all the people of Bahrain in their beloved country.
HM the King stressed that Bahrain has proved that it was united through the togetherness and closeness of all its sons and daughters, expressing “pride in the purely Bahraini experiences and competencies that make us confident and reassure us about Bahrain’s future of and progress.”
The Kingdom of Bahrain will remain, God willing, a country of goodness, cooperation and brotherhood among all, fully committed to its moderate approach and humanitarian role, and open on the world thanks to its rich history of civilizations, King Hamad said, praying to God Almighty to protect Bahrain and its people and to sustain the blessings of security, safety, love and peace.
HM the King also received heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Bahrain who offered their congratulation on the holy month of Ramadan and wished Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity.
HM the king hailed the solid relations between the kingdom of Bahrain and their countries, underlining keenness to develop them in the interest of all nations, and lauded the diplomats’ efforts in reinforcing cooperation in various fields.
HM the King asked them to convey his greetings to their leaders and to their peoples and his wishes of advancement and well-being.
