
(Seoul) – The third edition of the UAE-Korean Economic Partnership Forum opened in Seoul, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. H.H. Abdullah bin Mohammed Ghobash, UAE Minister of State, inaugurated the forum that is being attended by a UAE delegation comprising more than 100 businessmen and representatives of government entities.
H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, chairman of the Sharjah Media Corporation; H.E. Abdulla Al Romaithi, UAE Ambassador to South Korea; and more than 20 ambassadors from GCC and Arab countries along with a number of local official representatives from South Korea accompanied the Minister.
“The bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of South Korea witnessed remarkable development during the past few years. The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the South Korean President, Park Geun-Hye, are always keen to develop bilateral relations and attain a strong partnership, especially in the economic and investment fields. If we look at the history of bilateral relations between the two countries, we will find that the UAE and South Korea have signed a number of business agreements throughout the years, most of these agreements are related to trade and economy,” Ghobash said.
The 3rd UAE-Korea Economic Partnership Forum seeks to strengthen the joint efforts by the governments to promote and activate business and economic partnerships, and this forum is a joint effort to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and South Korea.
