
Drydocks World, the shipbuilding arm of Dubai World, is looking forward to work with many of UAE companies for building of the Water Discus Hotel which is expected to cost between US$50 million and US$80 million. Official at Drydocks said that the company will only be building the discus hotels for third parties as it has a joint venture with Big Invest Consult, a Swiss company, which represents Deep Ocean Technology, the Polish-owner behind the technology and concept of Water Discus hotel, to develop underwater hotels and floating cities in the Middle East.
Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman Drydocks World & Maritime World has also met Arkadiusz Majerski, President and CEO Deep Ocean Technology and Bogdan Gutkowski president of Big Invest last month to discuss issues related to the hotel project including the designs, engineering aspects and the structures.
