
(New York) – H.H. Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, the UAE Minister of Development and International Cooperation has met with of ministers of other countries and international officials to discuss avenues of cooperation. The discussions took place during the UAE delegation’s participation in the 68th United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.
At her meeting with Alva Baptiste, Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Civil Aviation of St. Lucia, Sheikha Lubna discussed ways of enhancing cooperation and partnership between the two countries in various spheres. In her remarks at the meeting, Sheikha Lubna affirmed that the great international confidence the UAE is earning for its bid to host EXPO 2020 is linked to its openness policy and its pivotal regional and international stature.
Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi also met with Gudrun Kopp, Germany’s Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. At the meeting, the two sides discussed avenues of cooperation between the UAE and Germany, and the contributions of the two countries to development and humanitarian action in various areas such as water resources management and providing support to education in developing countries.
