(Dubai) The Chief Executive of the Isle of Man Economic Department, Mr. Colin Kniveton, who is on a two day official visit to the UAE visited the Dubai Economic Department where he was received by the Director General of the Dubai Economic Department, His Excellency Mr. Sami Qamzi. Both leaders discussed ways in which levels of cooperation between both countries can be further enhanced. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kniveton paid tribute to the economic model created of the UAE and said that the welcoming economic and investment policies of the UAE provide a lot of incentive to foreign companies to establish themselves in the UAE. It may be noted that several Isle of Man companies are already based in the UAE and many others are considering to explore the possibilities of setting themselves up in the region. The Director General of the Dubai Economic Department welcomed the visit by the Chief Executive and said that Dubai economic department would welcome foreign companies to establish themselves in Dubai and assured them of all possible cooperation in this regard. The Director general was assisted by Deputy Director General Khalid Al Kasim, and the CEO of the Dubai Investment Office, Mr. Fahad Al Gergawi. Also present on the occasion were Mr. John Batty from the Government of Isle of Man and Senior International Lawyer Dr. Mansoor Ahmed Malik. Both sides agreed to continue high level contacts between the UAE and Isle of Man and a possibilities of signing an MOU to create a frame work of cooperation was also discussed.
